Ingredients
- 6 onions
- 50 g butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 litre stock
- 100 ml white wine
- 4 slices of bread
- 100 g grated gruyere
- Salt, pepper
Method
- 1Thinly slice the onions.
- 2Soften them gently in the butter for 20 minutes until caramelised.
- 3Sprinkle with flour and stir.
- 4Deglaze with white wine, then pour in the stock.
